ANTIHYDROGEN PRODUCTION RATE: 2.1 × 107 ATOMS PER HOUR

The Halo Accelerator prototype has achieved a sustained antihydrogen production rate of 2.1 × 107 atoms per hour during a 96-hour continuous operation test — a 340× improvement over CERN ALPHA's reported rate of approximately 6 × 104 atoms per hour.

Three architectural changes operating simultaneously: continuous-mode antiproton production via Highfield Magnetics 8-Tesla REBCO compact cyclotron (duty cycle from ~0.1% to 100%); 4π magnetic bottle capture geometry (versus narrow beamline acceptance); and in-situ positron production from Na-22 source with tungsten moderator (eliminating the separate positron accumulator).

At 2.1 × 107 atoms/hour, annual production is approximately 500 billion antihydrogen atoms — roughly 0.8 nanograms per year. Still nanogram-scale. But the production curve is on an exponential trajectory, and each doubling of magnetic field strength and beam current yields approximately 4× rate improvement through quadratic scaling. The path to microgram-scale requires engineering, not physics breakthroughs.
